The Blackheart family owns a large swathe of land in Vodf with thousands of acres of forestland that is harvested for timber and used throughout the empire and Kislev. His father was a salt of the earth man and brought Drake and his older twin up without any sense of entitlement in spite of their noble birth.
Drake has traveled throughout the Empire and Kislev and is pretty wise to the world, being the second born (even by seconds) meant he was to sit back and watch his twin be groomed for taking over over the barony while he trained to protect his family name and uphold the law the land.
A dark spot in his past led him on his path he now currently travels, in the same footsteps as his mentor and uncle.
After breaking up the Cult of the Golden Dawn before they could complete their bizarre ritual, Drake was promoted to full Knight-Templar of the Order of the Firey Heart by the Graf of Bogenhafen, with imperial authoity given by Aldred Fellblade, Knight-Captain of the Order of the Firey Heart.
In the Barren Hills, at Grissenwald, and in many wilderness settings he distinguished himself by his martial skill, his gallantry and his bravery. A swordsman nearly without peer, he met his match on the battlements of Castle Eslohe.
A steadfast and true friend, he counseled to retreat tactically from the walls of Castle Eslohe, but turned back for love of his companions. Though he fought valiantly against overwhelming odds, he was eventually cut down by one of the black-mailed guards, a longsword slipping through his defenses, a life cut short far too early.
His ashes lie in an urn, on the Wayward Derelict, awaiting their proper burial in a Garden of Morr.
